Dragon Kites | The longest Oriental kite train
Dragon kites are one of the most impressive things you’ll ever see flying up there, high in the sky. If you think one kite is amazing enough, just try picturing dozens, hundreds (and even more) small kites attached together, each acting as a sub-kite or small wing of a much larger kite. Welcome to the kite trains of Dragon kites.
Though the dragon kite is probably the most popular, there are lots of different variations in kite trains. The parafoil kite stack for instance, is regularly seen in kite exhibitions, with people striving to beat the previous record in terms of size, number of kites, and lots of other factors. Just keep in mind: these kites often require a team of pilots. A single person would be unable to control it (unless you have some extra pairs of arms and hands.)
My recommendation is, you better start small and gradually work you way up the kite scale. A simple "delta kite" is more than enough for you to learn the ropes before delving into these higher complexity of kites. If you’re really serious about dragon kites, you can be ready to handle those in a matter of weeks or months, depending on how much time you devote to it. But remember, once you start increasing the number of kites you’re controlling, it can get really addictive. Just ask any of the pilot you meet at kite exhibitions.
